5-Year Plan

Creating a five year plan is essential for success because it helps you visualize your goals for the next couple of years. It helps keep you focused on what your goals are and what is needed to help you achieve them. A five year plan can motivate you to stay on track and it can also help you plan ahead to create room to change things if needed. With a five year plan you’re more likely to accomplish your goals!

Year One – 2020

For 2020, I plan on graduating high school in May. I have already applied to multiple colleges and I have been accepted into Illinois State University. I plan on attending Illinois State in the fall of this year. While I’m there I would like to join a sorority. During the summer before I start college, I plan on working as much as I possibly can and I may go on a road trip to Nashville, TN with my best friend.

Year Two – 2021

In 2021 I will have completed my freshman year of college. If I haven’t already done so, I will try to find myself a part-time job hopefully somewhere on campus. Having a part-time job will allow me to have some extra cash. Over the summer, I hope to come home and spend sometime with my family. I also will begin my sophomore year of college in the fall.

Year Three – 2022

In 2022 I’ll finish my sophomore year of college. I’m hoping that if I am still in a sorority that I may earn a higher position within the charter. This year my brother will graduate from high school, so I will definitely come back home to see him walk across the stage. In the fall I will begin my junior year and hopefully start my clinicals and begin working in hospitals. At the start of my junior year I am hoping ton find an apartment/rental house to live off campus with a couple of friends.

Year Four – 2023

In 2023 I will finish my junior year of college and begin my final year of college! During the summer, I would like to come home and work a part-time job to earn extra cash for my final year of school. I’ll start my senior year of college and get my nursing done this year.

Year Five – 2024

In 2024 I will graduate college and earn my bachelor’s degree in nursing! After graduating, I hope to find a job working in a hospital. I don’t know if it will be in Illinois, but wherever it works for me. Hopefully once I have a stable job, I will either rent or purchase a house that is pet friendly and adopt a dog.
